“A Mother’s Prayer”

A Mother’s Prayer,

Sustains her seed with a heavenly song,

Enfolding those she loves,

Protection from all wrong;

Her thoughts embrace

And caress with her mind,

To offer encouragement,

To this heart of mine;

Her prayer can move a mountain,

And send it to the sea,

Giving us a light of hope,

And new eyes for which to see;

A Mother’s Prayer is always there,

Through all the thick and thin,

She is standing and applauding,

Whether we lose or win!

A Mother’s Prayer reaches within the soul,

And knows every need,

An offering of herself,

To plant an ever-loving seed;

A Mother’s Prayer remains faithful,

And will never give-in to what’s wrong,

For she remains true to the end,

With her Mother’s sweet love song.
