‘Fatherly Advice’: A poem by Robert Darrigan

“FATHERLY ADVICE”

Someone is listening Dads,

So choose your words with care,

Eager eyes are watching,

Around the corner, somewhere;

Every precious mind is molded,

By what you say or do,

Ponder life’s fragility,

It all depends on you;

What an awesome task you share,

With those who walk the talk,

To raise a child in Godly love,

And never ever balk;

The choice is yours to always give,

When all is said and done,

The time comes and you’re old and gray,

A “Thank You,” says you’ve won!
