Decatur High School’s Jacob Buchan, boys soccer, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for March 16.

A: Math, with Ms. Choi

A: Tennis and basketball and year-round club soccer

A: My mom and dad

A: I listen to music

“Jacob is only a sophomore but shows up for trainings early, is ready to play when the whistle blows, and has great, positive attitude,” Gator coach Brad Plemons said. “He asks good questions and helps gather cones and balls at the end of practice without having to be asked. Jacob maintains focus and intensity throughout practice. He’s also a quick learner. He excels in his classes and participates in the ‘We Compete’ leadership program. Jacob will be a solid anchor on the defensive end for the Gators’ soccer team.”
