The sophomore is leading the Raiders in assists and aces this season.

The Mirror’s female athlete of the week for Sept. 29 is sophomore Suai Paaga of Thomas Jefferson High School, volleyball.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Math/PE.

Q: What additional activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Wrestling and weight lifting.

Q: Name your favorite movie.

A: “Inky, Pinky, Ponky.”

Q: You’re on a long road trip, you stop at a gas station. You get one drink and one snack. What are you choosing?

A: Mocha Starbucks drink and Takis.

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-game meal.

A: Pre-game: Pray. Post-game meal: Whatever is at home.

From the sidelines: Suai deserves to be athlete of the week because she is currently leading the team in assists and aces. She is an overall playmaker and a huge reason why we have had a great start to the season.
