Federal Way High School junior Alec Baumgardt, soccer, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Oct. 4.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Art class.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Soccer, listening to music, and supporting other Federal Way athletic teams.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My family and coach Anderson.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “Keep the game simple, relax, have fun, and enjoy the moment.”

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-game meal.

A: For pre-game, I listen to music. My favorite post-game meal is spaghetti.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Enemies” by Post Malone, Da Baby.

From the sideline: Federal Way High School junior Alec Baumgardt is a leader on and off the field. She has perfect attendance at practice. From a technical standpoint, Alec is one of the most gifted players in the league. So far this season she has made 10 goals in a very competitive league.
