Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: My favorite class is creative writing.

Q: What additional activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: I like to read and go thrift shopping.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: I’d say my parents. They both help me succeed in different ways. My dad pushes me to be the best I can be and my mom gives me strength to keep going.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to your sport?

A: “Keep working hard and eventually you’ll make it to where you want to be.”

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-game meal?

A: I don’t really have a pre-game ritual, I usually just wrap my wrist to get ready for the game. My favorite post-game meal is definitely Korean barbecue.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: A song I can’t stop listening to is “Woman Like Me” by Adele.

From the sidelines: TBHS junior Jazel Tiquia takes bowling to the next level. Besides being on the varsity team at Todd Beamer, she competes in various bowling tournaments throughout the year and just recently returned from a tournament in Las Vegas. She is a natural leader and always supports and encourages others to do their best. Jazel has a growth mindset and strong work ethic, constantly working on refining her skills. I appreciate her positive energy and everything else she brings to the team!
