• Some mom and daughter time: At 4:07 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 1900 block of South Commons, a mother and her 10-year-old daughter were detained at The Commons Mall for stealing $300 in bras from Victoria’s Secret.

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Some mom and daughter time: At 4:07 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 1900 block of South Commons, a mother and her 10-year-old daughter were detained at The Commons Mall for stealing $300 in bras from Victoria’s Secret. According to the police report, the two took the items into a changing room and were able to remove the ink tags using a tool. The two hid the ink tags in a changing room light fixture and then concealed the bras in a bag and on their persons. Victoria’s Secret decided not to press charges against either, according to the police report.

• We got a biter!: At 4:22 a.m. Oct. 2 in the 34000 block of 9th Avenue South, a suspect was involuntarily committed to St. Francis Hospital. While hospital staff attempted to restrain the suspect, the suspect managed to bite one of the members of the hospital staff.

• Harassment: At 2:25 p.m. Oct. 2, near the intersection of 320th Street and Pacific Highway, the victim reported that her ex-boyfriend followed her out of a parking lot in a vehicle. The ex-boyfriend proceeded to pull alongside her and yell at her. The victim told police she is afraid of the suspect, and asked about a restraining order.

• Wheel theft: At 2:33 p.m. Sept. 30 in the 2400 block of South Star Lake Road, the victim reported that someone stole two stock wheels off her vehicle. There were no witnesses and no fingerprints were recovered from the vehicle.

• Vacuum cleaner through a window: At 5:36 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 1700 block of South 281st Place, a couple whose relationship is ending had an argument. The male said that during an argument, his soon to be ex-girlfriend threw a vacuum cleaner through a bedroom window. According to the police report, there was no other assault or crime committed, and a domestic violence resource guide was provided to the couple.

• Phishing texts: At 5:55 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 33000 block of 33rd Place SW, the reporting party contacted police about a text message they received. The reporting party said they received a text message claiming to be from Wells Fargo that indicated their account had been deactivated. The reporting party said they did not have an account with Wells Fargo and was worried other people might be defrauded by these text messages. According to the report, police attempted to contact the numbers listed in the text messages, and received the message indicating the number is no longer in service.

• “Victim” arrested: At 7:19 a.m. Oct. 1 in the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road, a man called to report that someone had attempted to break into his vehicle. Police ran checks on vehicle’s license and discovered the “victim” had an active warrant from Olympia. The man was arrested and booked into King County Jail.

• Pills stolen: At 11:42 a.m. Sept. 30, in the 32000 block of 20th Lane SW, the reporting party called to say a 96-count bottle of Vicodin had been stolen from her purse. The victim indicated she had left her apartment unattended and unlocked for a short period of time when she went outside to find her granddaughter. The victim said there was also $200 in her purse, which the thieves left alone. The police report indicates the victim is a cancer patient.

• It runs in the family?: At 9:06 p.m. Oct. 1 in the 1700 block of South Commons, a young woman was detained in Sears for stealing a $9.50 pair of underwear. The girl’s stepfather came to pick her up. While there, police ran the stepfather’s name and discovered he had an active warrant in Seattle. The stepfather was arrested and transported to Seattle. Someone else came to pick up the girl.
