On Oct. 29, the French Lake Off-Leash Dog Park in Federal Way is where the second annual Howl-O-Ween party was held for the dogs, sponsored by Park Pals.

The party had a variety of events. There was the bone hunt, and the most popular event, the costume contest.

Another event was to jump the through the hula hoop and run through the tunnel in a timed event. We had contests for the best bark, the best kiss and the best trick. The bone hunt was more of a treat to the black crows.

The best bark and kiss and trick were fun to watch, since it was judged by the audience’s loudest clapping.

There were some great barkers; a Husky won that one. The best trick went to a Border Collie mix, who loved to dance and dance. The best kiss was won by an Irish Wolfhound. Quite a slurp!

There were a variety of dogs that entered the costume contest, from the smallest to the largest.  Cute, scary, funny, most original.

The dog and owner pairs were great too. The costume contest brings out the kid in us. We all look forward to what we are going to see. There were cameras shooting everywhere.

The party brought people and dogs together to have a good time. The sun helped the mood very much.
