Thank you to The Mirror for the community calendar.

On Oct. 30, at the Federal Way Regional Library, I went to a meeting to study a book called “The Making of America.”

This is an excellent compilation of research on the background, principles and philosophy that produced our Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights.

It was awesome to be in a room of people eager to learn about the ideas, and people, who founded America.

Does America face major issues ahead? Yes.

Are Americans up to the challenges? Yes.

The answers are in the book “The Making of America.”

There will be another meeting at the Regional Library from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 20.

From 6 to 8 p.m. we will view the movie on the making of America.

I’ll be there, will you?
