Family robbed at gunpoint while selling shoes | Federal Way Police Blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log Feb. 1-7.

Feb. 1

Carjacking: At about 1:15 a.m. near the 100 block of South 304th Street, officers responded to a vehicle theft. A driver reported that a male suspect with a gun approached him, pointed the gun at his neck, and demanded the vehicle’s keys. A second male subject pointed a gun at the female passenger and grabbed her by the hair before demanding the vehicle. The driver was elbowed in the face by the suspect before the suspect stole the vehicle.

Stolen wallet: At about 5 a.m. near the 30900 block of 19th Place SW, a person was sitting in his car when suddenly the front passenger window was shattered and two unknown male suspects grabbed the person’s wallet from the front seat. The unknown suspects threatened to shoot the person.

On Feb. 1, there were at least 17 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Feb. 2

DUI driver: At about 12:14 a.m. near the 200 block of SW Dash Point Road, officers responded to a one-vehicle crash. The driver attempted to run away from the scene and was arrested after a brief foot chase. The driver was charged with Driving Under the Influence.

Bank robbery: At about 2:10 p.m. near the 33300 block of Pacific Highway South, officers respond to a bank robbery with a weapon. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was not found.

Domestic violence assault: At about 4:45 p.m. near the 33600 block of 25th Place SW, a man arrived home and assaulted his girlfriend. During the assault, the man brandished a firearm. He was later arrested at Winco.

On Feb. 2, there were at least 5 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Feb. 3

Suspects attempt to rob man: At about 7:40 p.m. near the 35000 block of 21st Avenue SW, two unknown suspects entered a man’s property and demanded money from him at gunpoint. The man was brought around to the back of the house. When the subjects attempted to get into the house through the back sliding door, they got scared when the man and his wife began yelling. Both suspects ran away on foot and were not found.

On Feb. 3, there were at least 7 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Feb. 4

Pepper sprayed during laundry: At about 9:30 a.m. near the 27200 block of Pacific Highway South, a man was doing laundry when a suspect pepper sprayed him unprovoked. The suspect was not located by officers.

Family robbed: At about 6 p.m. near the 1900 block of SW Campus Drive, a family was meeting two people at an apartment complex to sell shoes. The two people robbed the family of the shoes at gunpoint and fled. The suspects were not located.

On Feb. 4, there were at least 8 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Feb. 5

Threats with knife: At about 6:50 p.m. near the 35100 block of Enchanted Parkway South, officers responded to a restaurant for reports of threats with a knife. The suspect was pointed out and was leaving in a truck. Officers stopped the truck and detained the suspect. The suspect was arrested for felony harassment. The knife was found at the restaurant.

On Feb. 5, there were at least 3 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Feb. 6

Robbed at knifepoint: At about 9 p.m. near the 32400 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to reports of an armed robbery. The victim was threatened with a fixed-blade knife and was punched by a customer.

On Feb. 6, there were at least 6 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Feb. 7

On Feb. 7, there were at least 8 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.
