Federal Way weekend events: Vaccines, ice cream, talent contest

Aug. 7

Visit the Federal Way Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and receive a vaccination from Public Health — Seattle & King County. All three vaccine options — Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson — will be available. The market is located behind The Commons mall along S. 324th Street.

Also, the Federal Way’s Got Talent competition continues from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the market. Read more about the summer contest here.

Aug. 8

Be Excellent To Each Other: A post-COVID celebration and regathering of all people. 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2415 South 320th St. in Federal Way, to celebrate being together with our local community.

Come for free ice-cream and entertainment. Stay to participate in public art and get to know your neighbors again. This free event is a chance for everyone (all stages, ages and beliefs) to get together after so long apart.

Accessible parking and drop-off along the 320th Street entrance. General parking in the Park and Ride at the end of 25th Street.
