At Brookdale Senior Living, the Federal Way Vet Center celebrated those who served during one of their Veterans Day events.

Partnering with Veritas Classic Christian School, the residents at Brookdale had cake, sang songs celebrating veterans in our Armed Forces, and those residents who served recieved blankets and gift bags as a token of appreciation for their sacrifice.

One of the veterans receiving his gift bag repeated, “Thank you!” to the Vet Center employees there before taking a seat as students sang “God Bless the USA.”

The Vet Center will also be at the Auburn Veteran’s Day Parade Saturday, Nov. 9 starting at 8 a.m. until the parade ends.
