Friends United to Shelter the Indigent, Oppressed and Needy (FUSION) held a Moulin Rouge theme art soiree Aug. 1 at the Dumas Bay Centre in Federal Way. (SEE PHOTOS)
Capturing the fun and romance of turn-of-the-century Paris, the event featured an art walk, entertainment, live and silent auctions, and raffle for a seven-day ocean cruise for two. Catered appetizers, wine, beer and espresso were served.
Proceeds benefit FUSION’s transitional housing program. The goal this year was to raise $125,000.
FUSION operates 16 transitional homes in Federal Way and Northeast Tacoma, and about 80 percent of clients successfully move on to permanent housing.
This marks the 19th year for the summer arts festival fundraiser.
