Fill the Canoe school supply drive: 1,200 pounds

The Communities in Schools and Red Canoe Credit Union school supplies fundraiser brought in over 1,200 pounds of school supplies for students in Federal Way schools. Red Canoe placed a 14-foot canoe in its lobby, at 33616 Pacific Highway S., with the goal for the public to fill the canoe with needed items. All donations made at the Federal Way Red Canoe branch location were matched, pound-for-pound by the credit union. Call (253) 942-3100 or (253) 528-0847.
