With two auctions, great food and a “Wizard of Oz” theme, this year’s gala will help fundraise money for Federal Way’s homeless families.
The annual FUSION Housing fundraiser gala returns, not somewhere over the rainbow, but out at Dumas Bay Centre.
Kicking off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, this year’s gala theme is “There’s No Place Like Home” with the local housing nonprofit going all out to immerse guests in the magical world of the classic 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz.”
FUSION is a nonprofit operating in Federal Way with the goal to house and support families experiencing homelessness. This year’s gala is a celebration of “the power of home” with “safety, stability and sense of belonging that every family deserves.”
The night will be filled with delicious food, specialty beverages, games, a live auction and a silent auction where each bid will go towards the next year’s operations, allowing FUSION to continue supporting unhoused families with transitional housing as they move to permanent housing.
“Our transitional housing has a 92% success rate,” said Megan Anderson, FUSION Marketing and Outreach Manager.
Tickets are available through July 31, with $130 tickets for individuals and options for tables of up to 10 people. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $150 each. For more information and for tickets, visit fusionhousing.org/gala.
