The Federal Way Boys and Girls Club is currently enrolling youth for their 2013 Coed Spring Baseball League. The deadline for registration is May 3 and late registration will be accepted on a space-available basis.
The league is a program for boys and girls in grades K through 6. First- and second-grade teams will be coed and coach-pitch. Grades 3 and 4 will be half game coach-pitch and half kid-pitch and fifth- and sixth-grade teams will be full kid-pitch. There will also be a Kindergarten Clinic for 4 through 6 year olds held on Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. May 11 through June 15.
Teams are formed from local elementary and middle schools and the season runs from May 7-June 22. Games are played in the surrounding Federal Way area schools.
The program costs $60 for 1st-6th grade/$55 for the Kindergarten clinic (plus $36 current Club membership fee). Registration can be done online at www.fwbgc.org or in person at the Club, 30815 8th Ave. S., Federal Way, WA 98063.
The Club is also offering a Spring Basketball League for youth. This is a games-only league and the deadline for registration is May 3. Teams are formed by local school and area. The divisions will be coed and consist of grades 3/4, grades 5/6 and grades 7/8. The league will take place from May 13 to June 22. Games are played at the Boys and Girls Club.
The program costs $60 for all leagues (plus the $36 current Club membership).
