Federal Way won two more district championships Friday and Saturday, giving National three titles so far this postseason.

Federal Way won the District 10 baseball championship in the 10- and 11-year-old division and the district softball title in the 9-10 age group. National also won the 9-10 baseball all-star tournament last week.

Federal Way dominated Auburn Little League in the district championship game in the 10-11 baseball tournament, 13-4, Saturday at GSA Park in Auburn.

On Saturday, June 30, the FWNLL 10-11U All Star Team, managed by Tom Wallat with coaches Mike Niksich and Chuck Miller captured the District 10 tournament by defeating the Auburn All Stars, 13-4.

Auburn actually took a 3-2 lead before Federal Way exploded for 10 runs in the fourth inning to put the game away. Mark Wright led the balanced 12-hit offensive attack by going 3 for 4 with three doubles and two RBIs. Tate Wallat added two hits and two RBIs.

The victory capped a 4-0 tournament for National. Federal Way started with a 7-1 win over Auburn, beat Kent in the quarterfinals, 10-7, and downed Soundview, 14-5, to earn the berth into the championship.

National averaged 11 runs a game during the tournament and hit .379 as a team during the four games. The offense was highlighted by home runs from Tommy Davis, Wright and Gavin Knapp. Travis Miller led the team in hits and RBIs.
