Lions police and fire charity basketball game coming up

The Federal Way Lions Club is hosting the ninth annual Lions Helen Keller Day “Basketball Challenge” between South King Fire &Rescue and the Federal Police Department. It will take place April 8 at the Federal Way Community Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., and festivities begin at 11 a.m. Admission is free to the public, but donations will be accepted. Raffle and silent auction items and a BBQ King Dog lunch will be available. There will be a half-court challenge at half time with the top prize of $500 donated toward the winner’s charity of choice. All net proceeds go to The Federal Way Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing and other community needs, The Federal Way Police Department Adopt A Family Program and the South King Fire &Rescue Foundation and Aid Fund.
