From the sidelines: I’ve nominated Horace Chu for Athlete of the Week because of his determination and drive for this sport. Although this is his first year on our high school swim team, he has been involved in club swimming and summer league swimming for many years. He strives to be the best version of himself in the pool every time he is in the water and is always asking for areas of improvement. He stays as late as he can at practice, when our practice ends 5-10 minutes early, he wants to stay in the water for the remaining time available to work on dives or turns. Horace is a prime example of the type of athlete I want all of our student athletes to look up to and hopefully use as a role model.
