Thomas Jefferson High School freshman Julian Santana, wrestling, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Jan. 3.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: History.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: I really just enjoy wrestling.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My mom and my cousin.
Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:
A: “You have to give it your all to succeed.”
Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and favorite post-game meal.
A: My pre-match ritual is to listen to music and my post-match meal is a burger and fries.
Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?
A: “Highest in the Room” by Travis Scott.
From the sideline: TJHS freshman Julian Santana holds a current varsity wrestling record of 7-1. Julian won the Auburn Invitational tournament on Dec. 7 and placed second at the Gator tournament on Dec. 14. Julian is a consummate worker with a positive attitude. He is constantly leading by example. He is respectful, listens to his coaches and give 100% of himself during practice. Thomas Jefferson is grateful to have Julian be a part of Raider wrestling.
