Thomas Jefferson High School senior Anisa Siboliban, cheer, is the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Nov. 25.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: Biology. I like this class because of the community and the teacher makes it engaging.
Q: What hobbies do you enjoy outside of your sport?
A: Cooking. It’s basically a science experiment at home with different outcomes.
Q: Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?
A: Coach Johnson. She has always given me a safe space that I enjoy being in. It genuinely lifts my mood and encourages me to do better.
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve been given when it comes to your sport?
A: My closest friends always tell me to never give up, even if a lot is going on. Cheer will always be a positive escape from any negativity in my life.
Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and post-game meal:
A: Pre: Rush to get ready because I took a nap and want to get boba tea. Post: Leftovers at home because I’m too tired to go out to each after each game.
Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?
A: “Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande. I’m in the mood for the Christmas spirit!
