Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for March 10: Myla Felizardo

Todd Beamer High School freshman Myla Felizardo, gymnastics, is the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for March 10.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: History class.

Q: What hobbies do you enjoy outside of your sport?

A: Hanging out with friends, going outside in the sun.

Q: Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?

A: My parents.

Q: If you could have dinner with anyone (living or from the past), who would it be? Why?

A: My favorite celebrities because I look up to them and what they have achieved.

Q: Describe your pre-meet ritual :

A: The day before, I prepare things I need and prepare my mind. On the day of the meet, I eat a healthy meal and calm my nerves.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “Promise” by ATEEZ and “Swimming Pools” by Kendrick Lamar.

From the sidelines: TBHS freshman Myla Felizardo finished strong as she completed her first year competing as a Titan gymnast. Placing top in the district, Myla qualified for the state competition in all four events. Placing in the top 16, Myla continued to compete in the state finals competition on floor, ultimately earning 12th place in the state with a score of 9.225. Myla not only excels in athletics but in academics as well. She finished the semester with a 4.0 GPA. Showing up to practice each day ready to work with a positive attitude, Myla has been a supporting teammate and a great addition to the Todd Beamer gymnastics team.
