Federal Way Mirror Athlete of the Week: Violet Tucker

Tucker is a three year letter swimmer, and has qualified for West Central Districts

The Mirror’s female athlete of the week for Oct. 13 is senior Violet Tucker of Decatur High School, swimming.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Science.

Q: What additional activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Golf and Water Polo.

Q: Name your Mount Rushmore (Top 4) of Movies?

A: “The Good Dinosaur”, “Tangled”, “R.E.D. (Retired and Extremely Dangerous)”, “Uncle Buck”

Q: You’re on a long road trip, you stop at a gas station. You get one drink and one snack. What are you choosing?

A: Arnold Palmy and Takis.

Q: Describe your pre-game ritual, and post-game meal:

A: I always have a fruit roll up before my races, and my favorite post game meal is Vietnamese

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: Anything Rat Pack

From the sidelines: Violet has earned three Varsity Letter Awards in Girls Swim. She has a NPSL qualifying time in the 500 and a West Central District time in the Breaststroke. Violet is the anchor on the 400 freestyle relay team that has qualified for West Central District Championship Meet. Violet regularly shares experiences as a year-round swimmer that have helped novice teammates develop swim strokes and passion for swimming. She has earned a 3.411 cumulative grade point average.
