The Mirror’s female athlete of the week for Nov. 3 is freshman Sydney Wells of Todd Beamer High School, cross country.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: My favorite class is PE, because we get to move around and I get to talk with my friends.
Q: What additional activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: Outside of school and sports, I enjoy karate and doing 4-H with my dog.
Q: Name your Mount Rushmore (Top 4) of Movies?
A: My top 4 movies are ”A Dog’s Purpose,” ”Home Alone,” ”Ratatouille,” ”Wonder.”
Q: You’re on a long road trip, you stop at a gas station. You get one drink and one snack. What are you choosing?
A: I would choose strawberry lemonade and pretzels because pretzels are my favorite snack and you need something sweet to go with them.
Q: Describe your pre-game ritual and your favorite post-game meal.
A: Before a meet I usually try to relax, and eat healthy food so I am as ready for the race as possible. But after the race I usually eat lots of candy and some ice cream; all the food I wanted to eat the day before but couldn’t.
Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?
A: I don’t listen to music.
From the Sidelines: Sydney continues to get better with every race. She runs and works hard, both in school and at practice. She is a very determined young lady and we wish her all the best at state cross country!
