Aya Bispham, a senior at Federal Way High School, was named the week one CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.
As a junior, Bispham was a team captain on the volleyball team and led the team in digs, service aces, kill percentage and service percentage last season. She was named a team captain for the Eagles once again for her senior season.
Bispham also maintains a 3.98 GPA and is enrolled in the Cambridge program. She is co-founder of the BFF club, which is a student-run organization that provides opportunities for students with severe disabilities to participate in school events.
As the Athlete of the Week, she will receive a $1,200 Sports Authority gift card for the school’s athletic department, an in-school presentation hosted by CenturyLink and the Seattle Seahawks, a personalized 2015 Nike Seahawks jersey, two tickets and sideline passes to the Seahawk’s home game against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 27 and recognition across various media outlets.
