The Desna Soccer Club will host the Desna Cup beginning at 6 p.m. on Aug. 19 and continuing at noon Aug. 20-21.

The Desna Soccer Club will host the Desna Cup beginning at 6 p.m. on Aug. 19 and continuing at noon Aug. 20-21.

The event, held at Saghalie Park (33914 19th Ave. SW), will include sports activities (soccer and volleyball tournaments, tug-of-war, arm-wrestling and a weight-lifting competition), cultural programs, kids’ inflatables, food and more family-friendly games. This year will mark the nine-year anniversary of the Desna Cup, whose organizer’s mission is to “unite and bring the community together through sports, cultural festivals, music, and family fun activities.”

This event aims to build a better city, without racism, teaching respect to one another and helping to build strong families living healthy lifestyles. For more information, go to www.desnasoccer.org.
