The Todd Beamer girls soccer team just keeps winning games. The Titans moved to 4-0-0 on the season with a 10-0 victory over Bethel Thursday night.

The win not only kept Beamer atop the standings in the South Puget Sound League South Division, but also vaulted them into the No. 1-ranking in the state of Washington. The Seattle Times moved the Titans into the top spot in their rankings after former No. 1-ranked Eastlake lost last week.

Eastlake, out of Redmond, beat Beamer in the Class 4A state championship game last season in a penalty-kick shootout and brought back numerous players.

The Titans dominated Bethel on Tuesday and picked up a hat trick from all-state forward Holland Crook. Crook scored in the 20th, 24th and 48th minute. Beamer also got two goals from Karlie Hall and single goals from Breanna Straus, Rebecca Burns, Avery Salisbury, Jessica Niewehner and Sara Miller. Jul Podowiltz and Meghan Graf combined on the shutout for the Titans in goal.

The Decatur Gators moved to 2-1-0 in the SPSL South with a 1-0 win over Graham-Kapowsin on Thursday. Ashley Graves tallied the only goal of the game in the sixth minute and goalkeeper Kayla Lipston made it stand up with the shutout.

Swimming

The Thomas Jefferson Raiders got the best of cross-town rival Federal Way Thursday, 110-74. The Raiders got a pair of individual wins from Amber Cratsenberg in the 50 free (25.66) and 100 free in a state-qualifying time of 55.23, Savannah Coe in the 200 individual medley (2:18.44) and 100 butterfly(1:04.54) and Katie LaBounty in the 200 free (2:14.42) and 500 free (6:13.49). The Raiders also got an individual win from Janice Huynh in the 100 backstroke (1:08.62). Federal Way’s only individual win cam from Kayla Ramey in the 100 breaststroke (1:21.06).

The Todd Beamer Titans rolled over Emerald Ridge Thursday, 101-82, to remain unbeaten on the season. The Titans won all 11 swimming events during the dual meet. Rachel Kim, Jessica Soria, Kelly Erickson and Janelle Freeborn all won two individual events. Kim won the 200 free (2:00.15) and 100 back (1:02.45), Soria won the 200 individual medley (2:19.17) and 100 butterfly (1:02.06), Erickson took the 50 free (27.33) and 500 free (5:40.61) and Freeborn won the 100 free (1:01.27) and 100 breaststroke (1:14.53).

Volleyball

The Todd Beamer Titans picked up a big five-game win over Jefferson Friday, 25-21, 15-25, 25-17, 17-25, 16-14. The non-league victory improved the Titans to 2-1 on the season. The loss dropped TJ to 2-1.

Beamer got 13 assists from Alex Schultz and seven kills and four blocks from Megan Stumpf. The Raiders were led by the 17 kills of Morgann Green and 33 assists from Allie Crowe.

Federal Way improved to 3-1 on the season with a three-game sweep of Decatur Thursday, 25-14, 25-14, 30-28. Taylor Harris collected nine kills and Danielle Tanielu had six kills and four aces for the Eagles. Decatur was led by the six kills of Charisma Toilolo.

Tennis

Jefferson improved to 5-1 in the SPSL North with a 4-1 win over Kentwood Friday afternoon. Kentridge sits atop the division with an unbeaten record.

The Raiders got wins from Kainoa Rosa at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0, and a three-set win from Anthony Tomyn and Ty Garceau at No. 3 doubles, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Federal Way beat Tahoma Friday, 4-1, thanks to a 6-0, 6-0 win by Jake Stewart at No. 1 singles.

Puyallup stayed unbeaten in the SPSL South with a 3-2 win over Beamer Friday. The Titans (3-2) got wins from Ludomir Wanot at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5) and Chase Friedrich and Sean O’Bryan at No. 2 doubles, 6-1, 6-3.

Golf

The Decatur Gator girls won the battle of the two top teams in Federal Way Thursday. The Gators beat the Raiders, 66-60, thanks to the play of Stacey Blunt and Amanda Beyke. Blunt earned medalist honors with a 2-over par, 38 at Riverbend Golf Course and Beyke fired a 42. Jefferson was led by the 48 of Jayme Carbon.
