Rosalynd Brier
Rosalynd Brier died Jan. 15 at Hallmark Manor in Federal Way at age 87.
She was born on April 10, 1919, in DeWitt, Neb. She was a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Nursing. She served in the Army Nurses Corps from 1943 to 1946, participating in the D-Day Invasion, arriving on Omaha Beach on the second day of the invasion.
She will be missed by her nephews Steve, Paul, Steve; nieces, Kathy, Amy and Susan Wingo; sister-in-laws Louee Lightfoot and Pinky Brier; niece-in-law, Marydithe Brier; and numerous great- and great-great-nephews and nieces.
A memorial will take place 5 p.m. Feb. 3 at Kingdom Hall in Federal Way. She will be buried with her mother, father and sister in Dewitt, Neb. Arrangements entrusted to Yahn and Son Funeral Home.
