Johnnie L. Foote, known affectionally by many as Gee Gee, age 93, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2019 under CHI Hospice care surrounded by family.

For many years Johnnie would return to Washington after keeping her grandson Paul over the summer months. In 2013 she came for his graduation, and she never left.

She lived an active life, working 25 years at the Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles; President of her Alumni, Scipio A. Jones; and served as a Union Steward at the VA Hospital. During her 34 years of retirement, she traveled extensively and had many good times with friends and family.

She is survived by 2 sons, Stephen and Barry, 1 daughter, Gwendolyn, 3 grandchildren, Sha’Ron, Victoria, and Paul, Andre (deceased), 2 great-grandchildren, Johnathon and Denyae. Her first born, Phyllis preceded her in death on September 18, 2019.

We’re very proud that our mom lived a full life!

A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
