Donald T. Carter, a longtime resident of Washington, died Oct. 7, 2007, at age 78 in Auburn after fighting a gallant battle with cancer. Even during this time, family was everything to him.

Born and raised in Hawaii, he was a pioneer of talk radio in Hawaii. He later owned several businesses and also did remodeling and cabinetry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Carter. He is survived by sisters Annette Regent and Jean Blyth; cousins Patricia Campos and Michael McCormack; daughter Suzanne Kuhel; grandchildren Chris and Melissa Kuhel.
