Longtime Federal Way resident Daniel P. Fitzgerald died Feb. 27 in Sumner, his home of two years. He was 68.

He was born to Daniel and Helen Fitzgerald on Aug. 22, 1934 in Chicago, Ill., and attended Mt. Carmel High School.

He served two years in the Army and graduated from Northern Illinois University at DeKalb. In 1970, he married Patricia Ann and in 1975 the couple moved with their children to Federal Way, home for 26 years.

Survivors include his wife; children Julie and Brian; and a sister, Patricia McRoy.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. March 8 at the Old St. Andrews Catholic Church, 704 Kincaid Ave., in Sumner. A reception will follow.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Hospice of Good Samaritan Hospital, P.O. Box 1247, Puyallup, WA 98371.
