Assisting the elderly

• An elderly Federal Way woman is in need of a volunteer to help her with grocery shopping. The woman is legally blind and no longer able to make her own way to the grocery store. Twice monthly, a volunteer would be requested to pick her up, drive her to the store, assist her in finding needed items, then help carry her groceries into her apartment. The service would require only four hours per month and will permit the woman to remain living independently. Volunteers must be 21 or older. Contact Kizzie Funkhouser at kizzief@ccsww.org or (253) 850-2509.
