Victim robbed while walking on 21st Street SW | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Robbery: At 7:26 a.m. Jan. 15 in the 2100 block of Southwest 344th Street, a victim reported she was walking on 21st Street Southwest when an unknown male approached her, shoved something into her back and demanded her purse.

• Assault: At 11:38 p.m. Jan. 15 at 30333 Pacific Highway S., police received a report of an assault at a nightclub. The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• Confiscated marijuana: At 10:34 p.m. Jan. 15 at 33914 19th Ave. S.W., a school security guard turned in to police marijuana he confiscated from students near Saghalie Middle School.

• Stolen handgun: At 2:43 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 31500 block of 27th Avenue Southwest, a victim reported that his .45-caliber handgun was stolen from his unsecured vehicle.

• Deceased: At 1:10 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 1300 block of Southwest Campus Drive, police were called to a scene were a deceased person was located. The man’s wife reported he had two types of cancer.

• Felony warrants: At 5:51 a.m. Jan. 15 in the 30800 block of Pacific Highway South, a woman was arrested on two King County felony warrants after police pulled her over for expired vehicle tabs.

• Fraudulent check: At 10:36 p.m. Jan. 16 at 106 S.W. Campus Drive, a grocer reported that a suspect presented a fake ID and a fraudulent check when trying to purchase groceries.

• Hitchhikers swipe property: At 5:38 p.m. Jan. 16 in the 27600 block of Pacific Highway South, a victim’s property was stolen from his vehicle after he gave two unknown males a ride.

• Strangulation: At 3:42 p.m. Jan. 16 at 2211 S. Star Lake Road, a suspect entered a victim’s apartment without her permission and strangled her.

• Beauty product theft: At 3:40 p.m. Jan. 16 at 2108 S. 314th St., a man stole hair clippers, valued at $70, from a beauty supply store.
