Suspicious men peer into parked cars: At 7:12 p.m. on Feb. 28 in the 1400 block of S. 348th Way, police responded to a report of a pair of suspicious men looking into parked vehicles and entering one of the vehicles in a McDonald’s parking lot. One of the males stated he had a knife, and police responded that they were going to pat him down, causing the man to become uncooperative and pull away. Officers handcuffed the man for the remainder of the investigation, which determined that no probable cause was established that a crime had been committed.

Intoxicated woman arrested for assaulting boyfriend: At 1:28 a.m. on Feb. 28 in the 900 block of SW Campus Drive, officers responded to a report of a disturbance and found a woman sitting outside a residence, crying and not “dressed for the weather.” Officers observed that she was “extremely intoxicated,” smelling strongly of alcohol and having difficulty walking and speaking without heavy slurring. The woman attempted to relay a story of her, her boyfriend and a mutual friend spending the day drinking, but her story changed numerous times and officers could not discern a reliable narrative. The woman’s boyfriend, when interviewed, relayed that the woman and the friend argued and physically fought following a night at a bar in Auburn and said he believed the woman had been drinking since 10:30 a.m. At the bar, while everything remaining fine initially, the woman eventually got into an altercation with another female and police were called. The woman fled the bar on foot and was eventually located by the boyfriend, but the woman remained agitated.

The boyfriend said that the woman’s anger escalated upon arriving home, and she began yelling and assaulting both him and the friend. She reportedly screamed that she hated them both, punched at both, bit the boyfriend on the back of the head, scratched at both and retrieved a knife from the kitchen. The males reported being able to disarm the woman without serious injuries occurring, after which the woman went outside.

Police arrested the woman on suspicion of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon with a domestic violence provision added.

Man harasses ex, smashes windshield: At 3:40 a.m. on Feb. 28 in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway S., a man threatened to harm the victim, with whom he’d previously had a dating relationship, and damaged her windshield as she watched. The suspect was located and arrested by the Kent Police Department and transferred to Federal Way Police Department custody. He was booked into SCORE jail.

Truck broken into, chains stolen: At 9:53 a.m. on Feb. 28 in the 300 block of S. 308th St., a victim reported that his vehicle had been broken into “again” about 30 minutes prior. The victim said his neighbor had reported seeing a male, wearing red shoes and on a bicycle, leaving the victim’s yard at the time and carrying tire chains from the victim’s truck. The chains were found a block away. The side window of the vehicle’s camper shell was broken, its damage estimated at $200, but no further damage or stolen property was observed. An area check for the suspect was conducted with negative results.

Pressure wash theft: At 11:01 a.m. on Feb. 28 in the 1900 block of SW Campus Drive, the victim called police to report several males attempting to steal his pressure washer from the back of his truck. The victim told officers on scene that his son, at about 9:30 a.m., heard chains on the truck rattling around and knew someone had been trying to take property from the truck. He ran outside with a pipe in his hand but slipped and fell near the vehicle. He reported seeing three suspects near the truck, whom he described as Hispanic males, and reported that the suspects fled in a gray sedan.

The males reportedly took no property but did cut five bungee cords and his cargo net resulting in damage estimated at $70.

Wandering woman arrested on warrant: At 11:51 a.m. on Feb. 28 in the 28000 block of Military Road S., police received a call reporting a woman, known to squat at different locations, wandering the street. The woman was contacted and found to have an active trespass warrant out of Federal Way. The woman was arrested and transported to SCORE jail without incident.

Online posts lead to dispute: At 5:53 p.m. on Feb. 28 in the 35000 block of 12th Ave. SW, police responded to the location in response to a threat. The investigating officer spoke with the female caller, who said she’d gotten into a dispute with her 18-year-old friend after the female “posted stuff” online about the friend. The friend’s father became upset and began texting the female, wanting to talk, then called and threatened to harm her if she did anything to his daughter. Police contacted the father, who said the female caller was the one who threatened him, and got both parties to agree not to contact each other. The parties were provided information on how to obtain an anti-harassment order if needed and no further action was taken.

Woman sprayed with pepper spray: At 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 27 in the 1200 block of S. 320th St., a woman reported being pepper sprayed during an incident with another group of females. The group was no longer at the scene. The woman and three other females with her refused to provide further information about the incident. One of the women stated that she’d been “tased” but refused to elaborate. The vehicle of the woman who reported being pepper sprayed was destroyed by an unknown suspect, and the woman refused to provide further information. The woman declined medical aid, saying she didn’t want a police report completed. Officers left the scene without further action.

Man pulls knife, steals victim’s helmet: At 10:36 p.m. on Feb. 27 in the 2000 block of S. 320th St., police responded to a disturbance report. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim of a robbery. According to the victim, he was at the Commons Mall attempting to negotiate the use of a phone charger in exchange for marijuana. The victim said that, when he made this offer to the suspect, the suspect instead presented the victim with apparent methamphetamine. He declined the drugs and rode away on his bicycle. The victim was later surprised by the suspect, who confronted him at a store across the street and told the victim, “I bet you didn’t know I was following you.”

The victim reported the suspect was aggressive and presented a knife. The victim said the suspect began going through the victim’s belongings and took his helmet. Officers contacted the suspect, who directed the officer to a pile of property on the ground that included a helmet. The suspect removed a folding knife from inside the helmet, which officers seized, and the suspect confessed that the property belonged to the victim. The suspect was arrested and booked on suspicion of first-degree robbery.

Items valued at $1,650 stolen: Between noon and 8 p.m. on Feb. 23 in the 28000 block of 18th Ave. S., an unknown suspect or suspects pried open the rear sliding glass door of an unattended residence at burgled $1,650 in items.

Juvenile assaults mother: At 7:58 p.m. on Feb. 26 in the 2400 block of S. Star Lake Rd., officers responded to a call from a woman who said her 17-year-old son was intoxicated and had hit her. The victim, who was crying and had a small cut on her hand, told arriving officers that her son was angry because she had taken his drugs from him and had pushed her to the ground after she threatened to flush his drugs down the toilet.

The juvenile was observed to be apparently intoxicated, slurring his words and having difficulty understanding officers’ commands. He was told he was under arrest for domestic violence and struggled before officers swept his legs and handcuffed him while prone. While officers asked if the juvenile understood his right, the juvenile repeatedly screamed for his mother and told officers he was not going to juvenile detention because he would force her to drop the charges. The juvenile repeatedly yelled, “Mom, get in here now!” and “Mom, come talk to me!” while officers tried to speak to him.

The juvenile was transported to King County Juvenile Detention Center without further incident.

Infant locked in bathroom with tub filling up: At 9:18 p.m. on Feb. 26 in the 1600 block of SW 310th Place, a citizen reported her 2-and-a-half-year-old son was locked in the bathroom with the bathtub filling up. Officers arrived, and the woman said maintenance wasn’t available to help at that time and requested police force the door open. Police did so, causing minor damage to the door.

Man in dispute breaks window, gets angry during hand treatment: At 2:38 a.m. on Feb. 25 in the 32000 block of 20th Lane SW, police responded to a report of a dispute and glass breaking. Officers contacted the subjects involved and found one had broken glass and later a window. The suspect was taken to St. Francis for treatment to his hands, and while there he became belligerent and caused a disturbance. The suspect was later booked into SCORE jail for malicious mischief and disorderly conduct.

Man complains, takes pictures, is arrested: At 8:26 a.m. on Feb. 25 in the 100 block of SW 306th St., officers responded to reports of a dispute between a client and a homeowner. The business is an adult family home, and the homeowner said she and the other renters were unhappy with the client’s constant complaining and taking pictures of them. The client said he was taking pictures to prove the home was not in compliance with Department of SHS requirements. It was discovered the client had an outstanding King County warrant, and the client was placed into custody and transferred to King County Justice.

Victim robbed of $260 during marijuana deal: At 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 25 in the 2000 block of S. 320th St., the victim reported she’d met with the suspect in a restaurant parking lot to buy marijuana from him. During the transaction, the suspect produced what was described as “an ‘Army knife'” and robbed the victim of $260. Police are investigating.
