Two men shot near Twin Lakes grocery store

Both men sustained non-life threatening injuries, police say.

Two men were shot by unknown suspects near a Twin Lakes grocery store in Federal Way early Monday morning.

At about 1:40 a.m. Sept. 6, Federal Way patrol officers responded to an illegal discharge call near the Safeway grocery store in the 2100 block of SW 336th Street, according to Cmdr. Kurt Schwan of Federal Way Police.

Police determined that two men, ages 31 and 35, were shot in the store’s parking lot near Dairy Queen by unknown suspects after a dispute, he said.

Both men sustained non-life-threatening injures as one victim was shot in the abdomen and the other man was shot in the foot.

Schwan said the victims did not call the police and both were later found at a different location when a family member called 911 for medical aid.

One victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center and the other man was transported to St. Francis Hospital by a family member, Schwan said.

Federal Way detectives are investigating.
