June 16
• There was one vehicle theft reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Assaulting a co-worker: At 7:43 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a residence at the 2000 block of SW 320th Pl., where aman reported that a male co-worker had grabbed him by the neck with both hands when the two were having a verbal argument. The victim was transported to the hospital for a strangulation kit and the case is active.
• Shoplifter with Arkansas warrant: At 9:17 a.m., an off-duty officer detained a man for shoplifting at the Walmart Super Center. The officer found that the man had a Felony Warrant out of Arkansas with a full extradition for a parole violation. The man told the officer that he had previously been pursued by about seven police vehicles after stealing an ambulance.
• Weapon reported missing: At 11:12 a.m., a woman reported that her firearm had gone missing from its storage box, saying that the last time she had seen the weapon was in March or April of 2025. Officers were not able to get a positive ID of any persons of interest.
June 17
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
• $3,500 warrant & a trip to the hospital: At 1:05 p.m., a man was observed engaging in illicit drug activity during a Special Operations Unit (SOU) patrol at the 28000 block of Pacific Highway S. After being read his Miranda rights, the man, admitted to possessing Methamphetamines and he returned with a $3,500 Federal Way Warrant. After being placed into police custody, the man was assessed by South King Fire and was then released to a local hospital for medical care.
June 18
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• DUI under cover of night: At 4:18 a.m., officers arrived to the 3000 block of Gateway Center Blvd. and observed a man passed out while sitting in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle. The man was arrested for DUI.
June 19
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Shot in the window: At 1:22 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of SW 354th Pl. where a bullet had reportedly hit a window at a residence. Though there was no report of the sound of a gunshot, a bullet was found embedded in a window frame of a window that had also been damaged. Officers deduced that the shot came from the southeast as the window was facing east.
June 20
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Public masturbation: At 8:13 a.m., a report came in of a man masturbating in public at the 1000 block of S 312th St. Officers located the man who had his hands down his pants and admitted to smoking fentanyl. Officers reported that the man was aggressive, took a fighting stance, spoke gibberish and drooled at the mouth. He was handcuffed and transported by TriMed for Involuntary Treatment.
• Injured lamb: At 11:11 a.m., a sick/injured lamb was found at the 2900 block of 5th Ave. SW and was removed by a sheep rescue.
June 21
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• False report: At 2:15 p.m., police responded to a reported stabbing at the 1000 block of SW 331st St. where the suspected victim proved to have no stab wounds or other injuries and was accompanied by her caregiver. Officers found that the woman, who had a history of reporting false information, had escaped from her adult family home. She was then returned to her living facility.
June 22
• There was one vehicle theft reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Cat in work truck: At 1 p.m., an AutoZone employee found a cat had made its way behind the fender liner of his work truck while he was on a lunch break at Dick’s Drive In. The cat was unharmed and taken to police headquarters to await animal services.
June 23
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Arson among the trees: At 3:19 p.m., police responded to a fire in the wooded area of the 33000 block of Pacific HWY S. The fire damaged greenery in a 20-feet by 20-feet area that included an uprooted tree. While South King Fire handled the fire, officers found a person of interest (who reportedly have a history of starting fires) nearby with a gas can. With no witnesses or video evidence of the fire starting, officers could not establish probable cause.
June 24
• There were three vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Forced entry: At 2:11 a.m. officers arrived at the 2400 block of S. Star Lake Rd. and arrested a person who had broken into a bedroom window and entered the house while people were home.
June 25
• There was one vehicle theft reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Shooting water in a lake: At 7 :14 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at Steel Lake Park where multiple witnesses identified a man that had been shooting a pistol into the water. Bullet casings were recovered and the firearm was recovered from the man. He was arrested for illegally discharging a firearm and for reckless endangerment.
June 26
• There was one vehicle theft reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• ICE may or may not have local man: At 11:04 a.m., Federal Way police were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. 312th St. for an abduction report. A family member told the officer that, after hearing the sounds of glass breaking, their uncle had been taken from the location. The front driver side window of the uncle’s vehicle had been found broken. An investigation led to a video on social media that appeared to show Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers making contact with the missing man. The officer contacted ICE but was unable to to confirm that the missing man was in their custody.
June 27
• There were no vehicle thefts reported and no vehicles were recovered on this day.
• Fight at the skating rink: At 2:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight at a skating rink. The officer located the two involved men; one had a broken arm and the second was uninjured. The man with the broken arm told police that he had become angry when the second man’s son had accidentally collided with him hard while skating and had pushed the second man’s son to the ground. When the second man stepped in to defend his son, he pushed the man to the ground three times. The first man said that the broken arm was likely caused by a preexisting injury making his arm already weak and that he admitted to police that he should not have pushed the second man’s son. The man with the broken arm did not press charges for the assault.
