More than a dozen of the best speakers from around the Federal Way area will congregate at the Federal Way Regional Library (34200 1st Way S.) 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

One speech area is ‘Tall Tales,” which features speakers presenting a speech on a highly exaggerated theme. The other is “Table Topics,” which is an impromptu speech.

The speakers compete through Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization designed to teach public speaking and leadership skills. The winners move on to the next level of competition in September.
