Tackle traffic tickets online with new system

King County District Court has unveiled an online, e-mitigation system for citizens to deal with traffic tickets.

King County District Court has unveiled an online, e-mitigation system for citizens to deal with traffic tickets.

Donna Tucker, presiding judge of the Court, made the news public at a meeting of the Metropolitan King County Council’s Law, Justice and Emergency Management Committee.

The system is designed to aid citizens in their court interactions, while also lowering the costs and time associated with the legal process.

“With the development and implementation of our new e-mitigation program, citizens can more easily respond to tickets and the Court can address tickets much faster,” said Tucker. “Overall, the process has become much more efficient—saving both time and money.”

The system allows judges immediate online access to many sources of data, including tickets issued and other various reports.
