Suspect still at large after shooting man in leg in Federal Way

Man, 45, was transported to Harborview Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.

Police are still searching for a suspect who shot a man on Wednesday morning in Federal Way.

Officers found a 45-year-old male with an apparent gunshot wound to his leg when responding to a shooting at 4 a.m. in the 2900 block of S. 296th St., according to Cmdr. Kurt Schwan with Federal Way police.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for his non-life threatening injury.

During the investigation, detectives discovered the victim may know the suspect, Schwan stated. Circumstances that led to the shooting have yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing, he added.
