There will be a pair of open houses seeking public input on a future citywide network of bicycle and walking amenities in Federal Way.

The project is made possible by a $180,000 grant from Public Health—Seattle and King County. Open houses will run 10 a.m. to noon June 11 at Saghalie Middle School, 33914 19th Ave. SW, and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 14 at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St.

City staff will consider public input in developing the bicycle and pedestrian plan, then return for another public input process in the fall.

Light refreshments will be available at both meetings. To learn more, contact Janet Shull at (253) 835-2644.

In addition to the open house opportunities, the city is inviting residents to participate in an online survey about biking and walking at www.cityoffederalway.com/bikeped.
