On Nov. 1, Federal Way police served ice cream to South King Fire and Rescue winners at Sub Zero. Awards were presented to sponsors and volunteers who helped make September's charity chili cook-off possible.

The fourth annual Federal Way Farmers Market Chili Cook-off, held Sept. 24, raised about $4,000 to benefit Special Olympics Washington and South King Firefighters Foundation.

On Nov. 1, Federal Way police served ice cream to South King Fire and Rescue winners at Sub Zero. Awards were presented to sponsors and volunteers who helped make the chili cook-off possible.

At the cook-off, South King Fire and Rescue and the Federal Way police each pitted five teams against one another in a battle for chili supremacy. South King’s Shark Pit recaptured first place. The police department’s Weapon of Mass Deliciousness team won second place and the People’s Choice Award. The fire district’s Megabites team won third place.
