Joseph N. Njonge was sentenced July 20 to 200 months in prison for the murder of Federal Way resident Jane Britt.

Britt’s body was found in the trunk of her car in March 2008. The car was parked at a Federal Way care facility, where Britt’s husband resided.

Njonge, a 25-year-old nursing assistant at the home, was familiar with Britt. After her death, authorities found a Costco card belonging to Britt’s husband in Njonge’s possession.

Britt died of strangulation. A struggle appeared to have occurred. Njonge’s DNA was found under her fingernails.
