Forcible rape: At 5:37 a.m. on Nov. 17 in the 2300 block of SW 336th St., a 15-year-old reported she was sexually assaulted by an unknown black male who she met at a party at the Pavilion Apartments.

The girl reported the man offered to give her a ride home, but instead took her to a secluded place where he threatened to kill her and raped her in the back of his vehicle. Police contacted the suspect at his apartment, identified him and arrested him.

Attempted suicide: At 5:38 p.m. on Nov. 17 in the 1700 block of SW 357th Court, officers were called to check on a disabled resident who told his parents he wanted to kill himself after getting into a dispute with them regarding his cellphone.

Police officers took the resident into custody because they reported they had reasonable cause to believe he was suffering from a mental disorder and presented an imminent likelihood of serious harm to others or himself.

Woman finds husband dead: At 6:57 p.m. on Nov. 17 in the 900 block of SW Campus Drive, police responded to a call from a woman that said she found her husband unresponsive in her home. The woman said earlier in the day, her husband had fallen between the bedroom door and the bed and required assistance getting up.

She said he had a history of liver problems due to alcohol, but he was not currently taking any medications. She told police he was seen at the American Lake veteran’s medical facility for care but he did not have a primary physician assigned. She said when she found him, he was sitting on the bed on the opposite side of the room from the door and slumped forward.

She called 911 and the call receiver directed her to put him on the floor and begin CPR. She told police he was heavy for her and by the time she got him on the floor, the fire personnel arrived and determined he was deceased. Police reported there was a small amount of blood on his left arm and on his left nostril, as well as an abrasion on the top of his head.

Customer attempts to shoplift: At 8:58 p.m. on Nov. 17 in the 33700 block of 21st Ave. SW, an unknown suspect attempted to shoplift a Sony Playstation 4 from Fred Meyer by trying to pull it from the employee’s hand and striking him in the face.

Robbery suspect arrested: At 2:58 p.m. on Nov. 16 in the 800 block of S. 320th St., police responded to a report of a robbery. The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male or black male between 20 and 30 years of age, medium build, with facial hair, black hair worn in dreadlocks and wearing a black sweatshirt and loose baggie jeans.

The suspect approached him and demanded his wallet while implying he had a weapon. The victim related he feared for his safety, but refused to surrender his property. This victim also stated he did not personally see the suspect display a weapon. The victim said after he refused to release his belongings to the suspect, he fled the area on foot.

Later that evening, a police officer noticed a man matching the description of the suspect, but the man fled. The officer reported he knew the identity of the suspect in this case upon viewing the robbery suspect in close proximity as he fled. The officer stated he recently investigated a robbery case involving a suspect associated with the West Green Condos.

Officers responded to this apartment complex in an effort to locate the suspect. After positively identifying the suspect, they discovered he was wanted for robbery and had an active warrant for theft issued for his arrest out of Federal Way Municipal Court. The man was arrested and booked into SCORE.

Woman arrested for forgery: At 10:44 p.m. on Nov. 16 in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway S., police arrested a woman near Albertsons for suspected forgery and counterfeiting. She was transported to St. Francis Hospital for evaluation. Police are continuing to investigate.

Involuntary committal: At 11:33 a.m. on Nov. 15 in the 31500 block of 28th Ave., a woman reported her son attempted to cut himself during an argument over a cellphone. When he was detained, police noticed small cut marks to the back of his neck and arms. He denied trying to harm himself and confessed he was not suicidal, but was addicted to meth and cuts himself when he is desperate for drugs.

Boy steals golf cart: At 6:08 p.m. on Nov. 15 in the 27000 block of 24th Place S., a woman employed by Riverstone Apartments reported she saw a 12 or 13-year-old boy drive by the apartment office in a golf cart. She said she checked the secure maintenance shed where the golf cart was typically left and found the garage door ripped open. The damage from the break-in was estimated at $1,000.

Electrical wire stolen: At 8:17 p.m. on Nov. 14 in the 35700 block of 16th Ave. S., $1,000 worth of electrical wire was stolen. The suspect reportedly entered the construction site by climbing a rental fence. He cut and stole 400 feet of exposed, heavy duty electrical wire connected to the outside of the shack. Police have no leads.

Adult neglect reported: At 9:10 a.m. on Nov. 14 in the 1600 block of S. St., police responded to an adult neglect case. Fire also responded and transported the victim to St. Francis Hospital for hypothermia.

Child assaulted: At 11:53 a.m. on Nov. 14 in the 1700 block of S. 282th Place, police responded to a report that a man assaulted his girlfriend’s 8-year-old boy by punching him in the face and hitting him close-fisted in the back of his head several times. The child suffered from a bloody nose. The child reported the incident to his mother three days after the assault.

Boy committed for suicidal tendencies: At 4:38 p.m. on Nov. 14 in the 28900 block of 12th Ave. S., a boy was involuntarily committed after sending several text messages to a friend at school that he was going to jump off Salt Water State Park bridge in Des Moines and harm himself. He had considered doing it before and had been out to the bridge several times. According to his mother, he’s been depressed lately and she has found slash marks on his wrists. The boy is currently in counseling for depression.
