Man with assault warrant arrested: At 4:11 a.m. on July 11 in the 100 block of Southwest 356th Street, offers stopped a vehicle containing multiple suspects who were reportedly involved in an assault with a firearm in Kitsap County. The officers followed the vehicle until more units arrived and made a high-risk traffic stop, then detained the suspects and transferred them to Kitsap County law enforcement without incident.

Woman yells at cops, “always yells”: At 1:23 a.m. on July 11 in the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, officers were dispatched to a domestic dispute between a man and a woman inside a vehicle. Police said the woman involved was “screaming at the top of her lungs” about how officers “can’t stop her and this isn’t a traffic stop,” then yelled at police for attempting to illuminate the vehicle. After speaking to the male, it was determined no crime took place – The man stated his female passenger “always yells and screams for attention” and “nothing physical took place.” The officer observed no signs of assault or injuries to either party.

House fire put out, smoker suspected: At 9:51 a.m. on July 12 in the 3000 block of Southwest 325th Place, the fire department responded to a fire that burned part of a house. Upon arrival, the homeowner told police it was unknown how the fire started, but the resident said they saw someone smoking a cigarette near the home prior to the fire.

Balcony leaper restrained, committed: At 3:20 a.m. on July 12 in the 2400 block of South Star Lake Road, officers responded to a domestic dispute between a girlfriend and boyfriend at the above location. The dispute involved the girlfriend being restrained when she tried to jump off a balcony. She was involuntarily committed.

Victim robbed at gunpoint while on job: At 1:50 a.m. on July 13 in the 2600 block of Southwest 320th Place, a victim reported that, while walking down the street, he was robbed at gunpoint and had his wallet taken. The victim also reported a suspect struck him in the chest with the butt of a handgun and fled in a tan, older sedan.

Routine stop reveals warrants: At 10:06 p.m. on July 13 in the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, a suspect was stopped for a routine traffic infraction. In addition to counterfeit permits found on her window, she was arrested for multiple outstanding warrants from another city.

Suspect with escape warrant found: At 5:36 a.m. on July 14 in the 28000 block of Military Road South, police responded to a report of a subject stumbling around the Ranier Continental Apartments. Officers made contact with the man, who had an escape warrant from the Department of Corrections. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was arrested

Woman arrested for theft, drugs: At 9:27 p.m. on July 14 at the The Commons mall, a woman was detained for taking over $700 of merchandise from Kohl’s. During police interviews, the woman identified herself with two names that were found to be false. Her actual name was relayed to officers, who found she had two warrants. The woman was arrested and booked on her warrants, then found multiple drugs in her bag, including heroin, in the associated search.

Brotherly disagreement turns physical: At 2:30 a.m. on July 15 in the 2400 block of South Star Lake Road, police responded to reports of two brothers involved in an altercation. Responding officers determined there was a scuffle and arrested one of the brothers for assault.

Police unable to track down screaming man: At 7:10 p.m. on July 15 in the 100 block of Southwest Campus Drive, police received a call about a male yelling he would “kill somebody” at the Reserve Apartments. A witness said the suspect “pushed another male down and was screaming at everyone nearby” and suggested “the man was possibly on drugs.” The suspect was last seen walking into a wooded area. Officers conducted an area check for the suspect but were unable to locate him, and the man who was pushed said he was alright and did not want to file a police report.

Traffic accident halts argument: At 1 a.m. on July 16 in the 1400 block of South 308th Street, officers responded to a report of a single-car accident. When police arrived, they learned the man and woman involved in the accident live together and are involved in a dating relationship. They told police they were driving and there was an argument and at one point the vehicle ran over a traffic circle, leading to a collision.

Man arrested for threatening construction workers: At 8:39 a.m. on July 16 in the 2200 block of Southwest 344th Street, officers responded to reports of threats made to construction workers. A male inside a residence near the construction site was upset about ongoing work and threatened to shoot two workers. The man was eventually arrested without incident for felony harassment.

Love triangle gone wrong: At 11:30 p.m. on July 17 in the 31000 block of 25th Lane South, a suspect was questioned after a 911 call placed the suspect at the location of a reported domestic dispute. Officers arrived and discovered the suspect destroyed several items belonging to the victim. The suspect told police he was as angry “due to another male in her life.”

Candy machine robbed: At 4:10 a.m. on July 17 at The Commons, officers were alerted to an unknown suspect who pried open a Candy Monkey vending machine, causing over $1,000 in damage and taking $300 in cash and coins.

Officers take prowler into custody: At 4:27 p.m. on July 17 in the 1400 block of South 324th Street, officers were dispatched to investigate a suspicious person. Police were told a male was standing near a green truck and was looking into the vehicle and checking the handles. The witness believed the male was attempting to break into the vehicle. When contacted, the male was found to have a misdemeanor warrant out of Auburn and was arrested without incident.

Suspect picked up on multiple warrants: At 6:42 a.m. on July 18 at The Commons, a suspect was arrested by police on suspicion of stealing merchandise from Macy’s. During a search, in addition to the stolen merchandise, officers found methamphetamine and a hypodermic needle.

Group argument ends peacefully: At 2:38 a.m. on July 18 in the 2400 block of South Star Lake Road, police responded to reports of a fight involving a group of 20 people in which officers believe a knife may have been used. Upon police arrival, no subjects were located, but a vehicle was seen leaving the area. The vehicle was stopped and its occupants identified. All parties were cooperative and stated there had only been a verbal argument in the parking lot and that no weapons were involved.
