Todd Beamer High School (35999 16th Ave. S.) will be the site of an interschool square-off next week when it hosts students from each of Federal Way’s high schools in the Fed Factor, a talent competition open to the public on June 8 from 7-10 p.m.

Billed as “Federal Way’s first district-wide talent competition and benefit show,” Fed Factor 2016 will feature acts from Todd Beamer, Thomas Jefferson, Decatur, and Federal Way high schools. The performance-based battle of the schools costs $5 at the door, $10 in advance for seating in the stands, or $200 for a table for eight that will include prime on-the-floor seating.

Proceeds from Fed Factor will benefit a local, national, or international charity of the attendee’s choosing:

• Youth Homelessness Awareness, which works to combat Federal Way homelessness by providing food pantries in every city school;

• The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, which provides critical aid to Syrian refugees; and

• The Eliminate Project, which works to wipe out maternal and neonatal tetanus in third-world countries.
