Loaded gun found in driveway after snow melts | Federal Way crime blotter

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• At 5:40 p.m. Dec. 30 in the 32500 block of 10th Place South, a person called police to report he or she found a handgun at the end of the driveway after snow had melted. The gun was loaded.

• At 6:23 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 32700 block of 19th Place South, an assault with a firearm was reported. No additional information was available.

• At 2:34 a.m. Dec. 28 at 1600 S.W. 312th St., suspects broke a window at a convenience store and gained entry. They stole $1,500 worth of merchandise and the cigarette case was tampered with.

• At 11:46 p.m. Dec. 29 at 2131 S.W. 336th St., a pharmacist reported a male, whom she refused a sell to, stated he’d be waiting for her in the parking lot after she got off work. He told her he’d kill her.

• At 8:35 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South, a person called 911 from a motel to report she had walked away from Western State Hospital and wished to return. She was transported back to the hospital.

• At 6:37 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 31800 block of 18th Avenue Southwest, a person called police to report a suspicious subject in the bushes near a residence. The suspicious male had a bicycle. He left the area before police arrived.

• At 1:12 a.m. Dec. 29 at 2215 S.W. 356th St., a witness reported a suspect set off fireworks at a bar. The explosion set a victim’s hair on fire.

• At 1:07 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 32000 block of 26th Place Southwest, a group of individuals came to the police station to report child molestation. The suspect is a family member and the incident took place this past summer.

• At 2:56 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 30100 block of 11th Place South, a person reported the theft of a 250 mg bottle of Oxycodone. A friend was suspected of the theft.

• At 12:51 p.m. Dec. 30 in the 100 block of South 331st Place, an assault took place. The victim came to the police station to report the crime and probable cause for a rape charge was established. The suspect was booked into jail.

• At 4:17 a.m. Dec. 30 in Celebration Park, 11th Place South and South 324th Street, a male and female were witnessed yelling at each other. The female had a no-contact order against the male. He had two prior convictions for violating no-contact orders and was taken to jail on the felony crime.
