At 9:32 p.m. Feb. 12 at an undisclosed location on 23rd Avenue Southwest, police responded to a report about a minor receiving text messages with sexual language from an unknown sender.

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Sexually charged messages: At 9:32 p.m. Feb. 12 at an undisclosed location on 23rd Avenue Southwest, police responded to a report about a minor receiving text messages with sexual language from an unknown sender.

• Car prowl: At 1:25 p.m. Feb. 12 in the 33900 block of 19th Avenue Southwest, a victim reported a suspect broke into her vehicle and stole her purse, containing credit cards and cash.

• Suspicious activity: At 11:35 p.m. Feb. 13 in the 34000 block of 30th Avenue Southwest, a victim was walking when a vehicle pulled up and a male inside asked the victim if he wanted marijuana. The suspect then pointed a gun at the victim and, referring to the victim by his nickname, told the victim he should shoot him.

• Home burglary: At 1:18 p.m. Feb. 13 in the 900 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a suspect entered a victim’s apartment through a window and stole a laptop, television and a game system.

• Assault: At 12:05 p.m. Feb. 13 in the 34700 block of 2nd Lane South, a victim reported her boyfriend punched her in the face during an argument.

• Copper wire theft: At 8:47 a.m. Feb. 13 in the 400 block of Southwest Campus Drive, copper wire was reported stolen from an electrical box.
