Husband goes on tequila bender | Federal Way crime blotter

At 5:49 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 100 block of SW 307th Place, a wife contacted South King Fire and Rescue to have them come out and check on her husband.

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Husband’s bender concerns wife: At 5:49 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 100 block of SW 307th Place, a wife contacted South King Fire and Rescue to have them come out and check on her husband. According to the report, the wife stated that her husband had been drinking tequila “24/7” for the last six days. The report notes that SKFR checked the husband out and that the husband was OK and not overly intoxicated. Also, according to the report, both husband and wife stated to authorities that they believe the other drinks too much.

• Identity thief: At 10:55 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 1900 block of SW 318th Place, the victim reported that an unknown suspect had gained access to her Capital One credit card account, and changed all the relevant information for the account. According to the report, the unknown suspect also used the victim’s information to open two new credit cards, and had a new card from Capitol One sent to an unknown address.

• Pellet gun bandits damage windows: At 11:38 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 1600 block of South 341st Place, the victim reported that unknown suspects had damaged 11 windows at their business. According to the report, it appeared that the suspects had damaged the windows by shooting a pellet gun at them. The report notes that the estimated damage to the windows was about $16,500.

• Stupid is as stupid does: At 10:42 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 1900 block of South Commons, the suspect attempted to purchase items from Macy’s using a forged/stolen check. According to the report, upon a further search of the subject, drug paraphernalia, more stolen checks, stolen IDs and stolen credit cards were all on the suspect’s person.

• Vehicle gets a double whammy: At 2:01 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 1300 block of SW Campus Drive, the victim reported that their vehicle had been vandalized. According to the report, unknown suspects had left scratches that ran the length of the vehicle. The report also notes that the vehicle was egged with an undetermined number of eggs. The victim believed they knew who was responsible, but could not provide any evidence to substantiate the claim.

• Armed robbery for a tablet PC?: At 3:07 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road, the victim was robbed of a Samsung Galaxy tablet. According to the report, the victim had listed the tablet for sale, and three men had shown up and expressed interest in buying it. At one point, one of the suspects took the tablet from the victim and told the victim that the victim’s friend owed the suspect $50. The victim attempted to take the tablet back, at which point the suspect flashed a handgun. The three suspects then left the area.

• Storage facility raided: At 2:39 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 35000 block of Pacific Highway South, it was reported that multiple storage lockers at a commercial storage facility had been broken into. The report notes that the crime was likely committed by a known suspect, and an unknown accomplice.

• Man gets assaulted by ex-girlfriend: At 11:25 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 31000 block of 1st Avenue South, the victim’s ex-girlfriend showed up at victim’s residence, wanting to see their daughter. According to the report, the victim refused, at which point the woman assaulted him by hitting him on the head, biting his forearm and scratching his neck. The suspect left the area and was unable to be located by police.

• Samaritan follows drunk driver: At 2:56 a.m. Aug. 19 in the 30000 block of 9th Avenue South, a witness noticed the suspect was driving erratically. The witness followed the suspect home to their residence, and then contacted police. According to the report, police found the suspect passed out in the driver’s seat and strongly smelling of booze. The suspect was cited for DUI.

• Something seems fishy: At 7:46 a.m. Aug. 19 in the 30000 block of 18th Avenue South, the victim’s vehicle was broken into. Entry was gained by smashing out a window. According to the report, the victim’s iPod and ignition interlock device were stolen.
