The Federal Way Multi-Service Center (1200 S. 336th St.) is looking for volunteers in a variety of areas of need, asking community members for only one thing: their time.

One area of need is help checking in customers at MSC’s food bank. This is a once-a-week commitment (Monday, Wednesday or Friday) from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a six-month period. Training is provided and would require checking in customers on a computer.

Another need is with assisting both youth and adults in their educational endeavors. No prior teaching experience is needed and training will be provided, with a commitment of two days a week working one-and-a-half hours for six months. ESL Facilitators, Adult Basic Education tutors and GED Facilitators are especially needed.

Finally, MSC needs volunteers to drive vans and pick up donated food for its food bank. These pickups take place Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., but volunteers can pick and choose their availability.

Applications for any of the above volunteer positions can be found at mschelps.org/getinvolved/volunteer/volunteerform.
