Federal Way police K-9 captures burglar

K-9 Vadar and Officer Sederberg tracked down the suspect around midnight on Monday.

It was a canine capture.

Federal Way police officers were dispatched to an in-progress commercial burglary at the Rite-Aid on Southwest 336th Street around midnight on Monday, Oct. 14.

The suspect was seen fleeing the area on foot as officers were arriving, according to FWPD’s Facebook post.

Federal Way officers quickly set a perimeter in an attempt to contain the suspect.

K-9 Vader and Officer Sederberg tracked down the suspect, introduced him to K-9 Vader, and then took him into custody.

“The bad guy was booked into jail for burglary,” FWPD stated. “Nice catch by K-9 Vader and the night shift officers.”
